‘DIGS’ SET TO INSPIRE YOUNG ARCHAEOLOGISTS

‘DIGS’, an acronym for Detecting in Group Simulations is a workshop set to inspire young minds while the Bass Strait Maritime Centre holds ‘Submerged’, a shipwreck exhibition from the National Maritime Museum in Sydney.

Jaydeyn Thomas, a qualified archaeologist, will lead a simulated dig that will have students undertaking surveying, digging, recording, and artefact analysis of ‘finds’ set up in our student activity tables within the Centre.
