Getting Around the Museum

There is ramp access into the Centre via the main entrance, which has an automatic door.
An accessible toilet is in the museum space.
Our shopping simulator is accessible via a ramp

Eating & Drinking

The café is wheelchair accessible both inside, and on the outside deck.

Accessible Parking

There is an accessible parking space out the front of the Centre.

Carers

Carers are offered complimentary access to the museum spaces when with clients. Please present your carers’ card or companion card on arrival when purchasing tickets.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome in the Centre.

The Bass Strait Maritime Centre’s collection is a repository developed as a resource to inspire and educate the community and visitors. A key focus of the collection is to contribute to the interpretation and preservation of the history and maritime heritage of the Devonport region and its connection with the Bass Strait.
