H.T Moore Advertising Sign

Glass, cigarette paper

Dated: 1936

After a long stint undertaking hard labour in 1933 to install sewage in Devonport, H.T Moore became an
assistant to a plumber in 1934, before gaining his
plumbers certificate in 1937. This sign was made for him by Hector Ward, a signwriter in Devonport. The silver portions are made from silver cigarette paper. It is not known where H.T. Moore’s shopfront was.
