If you would like to register your interest in a repeat of this workshop please contact us via phone or email. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2018DIGS\u2019 SET TO INSPIRE YOUNG ARCHAEOLOGISTS<\/p>\n<p>\u2018DIGS\u2019, an acronym for Detecting in Group Simulations is a workshop set to inspire young minds while the Bass Strait Maritime Centre holds \u2018Submerged\u2019, a shipwreck exhibition from the National Maritime Museum in Sydney.<\/p>\n<p>Jaydeyn Thomas, a qualified archaeologist, will lead a simulated dig that will have students undertaking surveying, digging, recording, and artefact analysis of &#8216;finds&#8217; set up in our student activity tables within the Centre.<\/p>\n<p>October School Holiday Program<br \/>\n4 October, 2 \u2013 3 pm*<br \/>\n*this workshop will be a simplified 1-hour version of the one offered to school groups.<\/p>\n<p>Photo Credit: Kelly Slater<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please note this is a previous program run in Spring 2018.
