Jaydeyn Thomas, a qualified archaeologist, leads a simulated dig that will have students undertaking surveying, digging, recording, and artefact analysis of \u2018finds\u2019 set up in our student activity tables within the Centre. Casual topical discussions happen with students during the dig. How do we work out how old something is? How can we work out where something came from?<\/p>\n<h5>Recommended Age<\/h5>\n<p>Grades 3 \u2013 6 recommended but can be adapted upon consultation.<\/p>\n<h5>Duration<\/h5>\n<p>Allow approx. 2 hours (dependent on student numbers). This timing also includes a self-guided tour of the museum.<\/p>\n<h5>Cost<\/h5>\n<p>Price: $7.00 per student, $5.00 per teacher\/educator\/supervisor*<\/p>\n<p>*Take the Helm simulator experience is available to students during the self-guided tour period at a cost of $2.00 \/ 3 students. Interest in using simulator must be expressed at time of booking.<\/p>\n<h5>More information<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Bookings are essential. Please get in touch via phone or email to make a booking.<\/li>\n<li>We cannot offer school workshops on weekends.<\/li>\n<li>A supervisor\/student ratio of 1:12 applies.<\/li>\n<li>Start and finish times will be explained at the time of your booking.
