Bluff to Bluff Geology Tour 2019

Take a glimpse of Tasmania’s most diverse and observable geological trail that has been created from chaos with geologist and lecturer Peter Manchester.

The Bass Strait Maritime Centre has teamed up with one of the state’s leading geologists to deliver an exciting program to complement their Exhibition, Flow: Natural History of the Bass Strait. Leaving from the Bass Strait Maritime Centre in Devonport, join them for a fully catered bus tour ranging from Fossil Bluff to Mersey Bluff. During this full-day tour there will be opportunities to fossick, as well as to learn about our unique coastline.

13:30: Burnie Basalt Column + Catered lunch
14:00: Sulphur Creek
15:30: Don Heads, Don + Catered Afternoon Tea
17:00: Return to Bass Strait Maritime Centre
